Kate is a systemic family therapist and psychotherapist working with​ individuals, couples and
families. She works  in private practice in Fremantle and​ Mt Lawley. 
 

IN March 2024 she launched her book “Pathways Beyond Crime and Trauma” which discusses the
transgenerational influences behind crime, the impact of trauma and the importance of healing
and the courage it takes.  The book is a deep dive into human complexity; an offshoot of 40 years of
clinical work, theoretical training, and lived experience.

The subject of Kate's presentation will based on the following Questions:

What kind of heroism do we need today? What is 2026 asking of us? A study of one act of
tragic violence and the influences behind it over 3-generations. How could this have been
avoided? How can we avoid bringing harm and participate in bringing dialogue and
peace?
