Computing and Social Media

Would you like to improve your understanding of how to use your computer or smart phone?  Why don't you come along and have a chat to our experienced Information Technology Team? You can either join the Computing and Social Media Team or just attend any of the training courses we offer.

Our Shed has a large conference room with several Windows and Apple Mac Personal Computers (PCs) set up for classes and workshops about Computers, Smart phones, Photograph Management and Social Media.

A large TV is also set up to use for presentations and education via an Internet connection. Scanners for photo archival and Printers of all sizes (A4, A3, A1, A0) are available for use by the group. 

The Macs, Windows PCs and printers are connected to a Local Area Network (LAN) that is maintained by the leader of this group. This LAN incorporates WiFi with “Mesh” capability to support member-owned devices such as Smart Phones, Tablets and Laptop

Computers that may be brought in.  To connect, we have a QR code that can be scanned to get around password hassles.

We would encourage any members to join our team and participate in this initiative while getting the most out of your electronic devices.

• You would like to donate a used/working Mac desktop or any other device that may be useful to the group
• You simply need to access the WiFi or other computing facilities
