Community Liaison

In September 2021 the Showgrounds Men's Shed created a new Role, a Community Liaison Co-ordinator. The key responsibilities for this role will be to:

• Provide a single point of contact for local Community based organisations and Local Government to engage with the Shed regarding participating in local Community Initiatives, possible Projects and provision of assistance and services that would benefit both organisations.
• Establish a quarterly Meeting with the Community Development Group within the Town of Claremont to exchange information and plan future joint initiatives.
• Establish relationships with other key Community Organisations and meet on an as required basis to exchange  information and seek out instances where SCMS could assist with the delivery of services or projects
• Undertake agreed projects for Community Organisations seeking our assistance
• Facilitate more social interactions with like minded groups
