Wine Appreciation Group - 4th June Meeting

SAMPLING SOUTH AUSTRALIA

South Australia is known for its wide range and quality of luscious wines, especially its Shiraz and Rieslings. Self -dubbed "The Wine State" it boasts a range of seven major wine regions. Allan Bandt (an ex South Australian) will take us through a variety of primarily of a mix of robust red wines spanning some of these regions. Most of the wines for this evening will be sourced from five-star wineries with 5 star ratings by Halliday or similar wine reviewers.

Following in the footsteps of Peter Trinders excellent presentation, we will be exploring the similarities and differences of these range of wines. Most of our wines for the evening will be somewhat younger that some of previous presentations, so it will be interesting for us to identify and comment on the cellaring potential of these excellent mix of wines

The final mystery wine is yet to be chosen. As a disclaimer, it won't be a Grange!
