Dear Sheddies,
Please be advised that having recently returned to Perth and carrying a currently unknown illness, out guest speaker for tomorrow has had to pull out of the proposed talk on iPhone matters. We wish Mario and his wife a speedy recovery, and we will try to reschedule his talk for later in the year.
So, this week’s talk will take on a different format, a bit more of an informal meeting. A chance to come along and enjoy the company of your fellow Sheddies and express your views.
The idea is to hear from members of the Shed on a number of topics which we have been considering, and we are seeking your input.
The potential topics to discuss can include the following, or any other topic, which our members wish to raise.
Sheddies should be aware that the Shed has a procedure for establishing any New Group and some of the requirements for any new group is for it to have a core of potential members who wish to be involved with the group, but more importantly any new group is required to have a Leadership Team consisting of up to 5 members who enthusiastically will drive the new group to arrange events, guest speakers, regular meetings, excursions etc. Just wishing to attend a group is insufficient to getting any new group up and running and to have the support of the Shed. So please consider which Group you would like to support by being a part of the Leadership team.
Our very own David Beard, who is part of the Wellbeing Group Leadership Team, and is an Exercise Physiologist, Metabolic Health Specialist will also be available to discuss matters which our members might like to raise. From David’s web site profile “David has been working in chronic disease management, ageing and preventive health for over 40 years. His expertise is now focused on improving the metabolic health of people of all ages to help them with diabetes, pre-diabetes, fatty liver, chronic inflammatory conditions, weight loss, PCOS and optimal ageing.”
So, come along, express your ideas and contribute to the Wellbeing of yourself and fellow Sheddies.
