Garden Greenhouse celebration
12:30 PM – 03:00 PM
Many members of the Garden Group as well as members of other groups have engaged in the reorganisation of the Garden Area and the construction of our greenhouse.  The basic construction of the greenhouse is complete and we are proceeding with the fitout. This celebration is to recognise the large number of members who have engaged with the project and to thank them for their contributions. We will have some nibbles, a barbeque and dessert.  Simple but tasty and it is FREE for all invitees and their spouses/partners.  One drink per person will also be sponsored by the Garden Group.  After the first drink, normal Shed pricing will apply. There are also a few places available for others who want to attend this event at a cost of $30 per person. Even though 10 April may seem far away, please register your attendance early so that we can plan the catering.

By making plans that cover your future care, lifestyle, health and finances, you’re not only working out what you want, you are also making things easier for those around you. This process is called Advance Care Planning. Topics include -  • What’s involved in Advance Care Planning. • Exploring what matters to you and what your priorities are for the last stage of life. • How to have a conversation about your wishes with your family, loved ones and health care providers. • What is involved in palliative care and when it should be offered. • How to complete documents such as Advance Health Directive and Enduring Power of Guardianship.

A reminder that our next event is next Tuesday immediately after Easter (7th).  The event still has 5 places available so if you havent bought a ticket please do so.  Tickets a now also available for guests.   Our next meeting will be hosted by Allan Bandt and Steve Gerreyn.  They have decided to present a mixture of wines contrasting young, lighter, drink-now wines against some aged, highly regarded classics featuring both Shiraz and Cabernet from Coonawarra and Barossa Valley.   Your task will be to decide which you prefer - young and frisky or old and mature.  Or perhaps you might just like to use the lighter wines to prepare your palate or take a break. The older wines were bought as part of an online 6 pack at greatly discounted price so we will also be considering the value for money of such bargains As usual we expect the evening will be popular so dont hesitate - reserve a spot immediately Stephen
