March 19th Special Wine Appreciation Group Event
Showgrounds Community Men's Shed
04:30 PM – 06:30 PM
Dear Sheddies The wine group is holding a impronptu event next Tuesday for which we still have a few places available.  so we are opening the event to the wider shed membership and you would be most welecome to join in.  Tickets are limited so dont dally.  The decription of the event is below.   We are continuously bombarded with special offers for wine.  If, like me, you are sometimes tempted but often not sure about the quality of the wine, help is at hand.  To tackle this, we are going to hold a special wine appreciation meeting on Tuesday March 19th when you can try 6 different red wines from a Qantas mixed Red wine dozen.  Three of the wines are gold medal standard while the remaining 3 are Silver.  We shall tell.  As we have 12 (6x2) bottles we will be opening the night to 30 attendees (members and guests) and charging $10/head mainly to cover the cost of the accompanying food.  As we also have some wines in reserve, we will not run short.  As usual, dont delay purchasing your ticket or you may miss out.    If we exceed 30 I will start a waiting list.

Homeless Meal Preparation
Showgrounds Community Men's Shed
02:00 PM – 04:30 PM
We are scheduled to prepare another Homeless meal in cooperation with Matilda Bay Rotary Club. As it looks, we'll be cooking again 'a few hundred' sausages on our trusted Bunnings BBQ and make up a large, healthy salad based on the produce that will be dropped off by MBRC. If we can believe our President, a full camera team will be on hand to record the entire session for later publication! At a minimum, your SCMS Kitchen Team will demonstrate our skills in our best outfit. Anybody is welcome to drop by and say 'Hello'. Best regards, Werner.
