If you plan to attend the training please select Ticket 1. 3:30 to 5:30pm Field Trip Postponed to 15 Feb 2024 (Meet at Jo Jo's Cafe) - Australian Landscapes Project led by Peter Buck A landscape field workshop is planned for Thursday 8 February, meeting at 3.30pm at Jo Jo’s Café, Nedlands. The workshop is being held as an adjunct to the February Australiana landscape project, to start the ball rolling on capturing landscape photos that clearly identify with Perth (see February, in handout notes distributed for 2024 program). The objective of collecting the monthly photos is twofold: firstly, to encourage members to use their cameras and hone their camera skills, and secondly in this workshop to apply principles of landscape composition covered briefly at the 1 February workshop, as well as, in past landscape workshops (see Google Classroom). In the forthcoming field workshop, ideas for composition will be discussed for participants to apply. To ensure that we have a variety of subjects, including Swan River scapes, Perth CBD and the sailing clubs etc, we will walk from Jo Jo’s to Bayside Kitchen, Matilda Bay and return.  If you plan to attend the Field Trip please select Ticket 2.  I look forward to you coming along and having some fun. Peter Buck Group members please select the appropriate Ticket(s) for the Training and/or the Field trip. Yes you can do both activities. If you are not a Photography Group member please contact me at sbmike9@gmail.com if you would like to join our Group. Cheers Mike Somerville-Brown Leader Photography Group

Beer n Bullshit Sundowner - Shed Survey Results
Showgrounds Community Men's Shed
03:00 PM – 05:00 PM
Whatever happened to that Survey we did last year?!"  Sheddies have been asking? Well, at long last the results are in, and they are impressive.  After an extended campaign by the Survey Team in late 2023, a staggering 240 Sheddies (87%) eventually filled out the survey, telling us how they heard about the Shed, how often they come, what they do when they are here, and what they would change about the Shed if they could, along with a host of other information.  And the results are eye-opening. It is high time to share the Survey results with our members. Come along to the Shed on Wednesday Feb 7th to hear about the findings from the Shed’s first-ever survey of members, and how the Shed leadership is using that information to engage better with all its members. Please note the event will start at the earlier time of 3:00pm and wind up around 5:00pm. So come along, be educated, inquisitive, engaged and be social by enjoying the company of your fellow Sheddies at this Sundowner. Looking forward to catching up with all of my beer and Bullshit mates. Best regards Peter Panek

Wine Appreciation February Meeting
Showgrounds Community Men's Shed
04:30 PM – 06:30 PM
Happy New Year to all the Wine Group members.  Our first Group tasting will happen on February 6th, starting at 4;30pm.  This month we have a tag team comprising Les Gunn and Michael Hart.  The theme is “Compare the Pair”.  You will be provided with an Australian wine and its equivalent from elsewhere.  I shouldn’t give hints as to where the other wines will come from but Les tells me he has been drawing on advice from a friend who is Italian - American so that may be a guide or perhaps a misdirection. As normal the number of attendees is limited to 20 and the cost for the evening is $25.  Our Tastings have recently been oversubscribed so its recommended you get in early and buy a ticket.  Otherwise you might miss out on our first tasting of 20324 and all the challenge and fun it entails
